Your Sheldrake  Adventure Awaits!

The Next Summer Camp:

2020 Camping Season

Dear Sheldrake Campers and families,

We hope this message finds you safe and well during these uncertain times. Due to the impact of Covid-19, the board of Directors of Camp Sheldrake Inc. has had to make the difficult decision to close overnight camps for the 2020 camping season. It is not an easy decision but the safety of our campers and staff is our first priority. If the situation improves, we will do our best to provide any programing possible later in the season.

During this time the Camp Sheldrake board of directors and staff will continue to improve our programs, as well as do site maintenance projects. We hope to see you all very soon. Please follow our Facebook and social media for updates on our upcoming projects and fundraisers.

Stay safe!

Camp Sheldrake is located on 150 acres overlooking two rivers and has several km of woodland trails. All of our facilities are heated, with bathrooms in every cabin. Dempsey Hall has a spacious dining hall, medical station and office. We also have a fully equipped shower house and Chapel.

At Sheldrake we believe that children are capable of changing the world! Our social justice programming encourages campers to be socially active at home and abroad, and often touches on  subjects such as the environment, world issues, empathy, and much more. Our motto "Hand in Hand, Faith in Action" shows campers that if we work together we can do anything!

Camp Sheldrakes, programs are action packed and allow each person to challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment. Our Interest Group Activities include:

  • Climbing wall

  • Zipline

  • Canoeing

  • Swimming

  • Archery

  • Low Ropes Course

Christmas Certificate Donors

We would like to thank the various businesses and organizations that sponsored a child for camp this summer through our Christmas Certificate Campaign.

Due to the pandemic, we had to cancel overnight camp for this upcoming season to assure the safety of the children and our staff. We are setting the sponsorship funds aside and will be contacting the children to advice them, that although they all not be able to enjoy camp this summer, their sponsorship will carry over to next year.
